Just need to be careful with accepting the quote as it will vary alot from actual fee (jumped from $228 to $408 for me). Was quoted $228 initially and Matthew the salesperson said could do up to 15 boxes per person (2 pax) of things within this quote. Said no addon charges. He did not explain further. On the actual day, before my things could be unloaded to my new house, I was asked to pay $478. It was only after discussions with the boss later on, there was a $70 partial refund, however the final price was still $408 vs initial $228 (+$180). Here is the breakdown. - 1 load = $278 - 1 additional pick up point = $60 - Dropping off at carpark entrance instead of block due to no parking below block = $70 - Having to push the trolley for about 40-50sec from carpark entrance to reach lift, and no need to climb any stairs = $70 (later on waived upon negotiation with the boss) Matthew the salesman went through with me what i needed to move and quoted me $228 for everything. Said no add on or hidden costs. Deliveryman upon reaching my block forced me to pay and stated its all in the contract. I had to pay because my things were still with them. I felt that was quite unprofessional in the cost quotation and somewhat forced surprise payment. They said if I did not pay, their salaries would be docked. The handling of my plants were rather rough. They were tightly wrapped around plastic wraps tool all my boxes, causing some leaves and stems to break. Initially i was told they would be secured carefully to the lorry to move. If the quote was transparent from the start, and if the salesman had said there could be additional costs instead of saying no hidden charges, I would have been able to more fairly consider my options before deciding. Doubling up the price on the actual day is not really a fair practice. My items didnt increase more than what I said.
