Hidden Charges, On-Site Price Changes Based on my own move and other public reviews, there are consistent patterns worth knowing before booking: Low initial quote from sales consultant, but final bill significantly higher. Extra charges decided entirely on-site by movers, not from the agreed quote. “Extra load” fees calculated using their own loading/wrapping methods and trolley count — not the actual volume agreed. Other reviews report movers refusing to proceed unless extra charges were paid, risking loss of the initial deposit. Cautionary checklist before engaging any mover: 1. Read all reviews online to identify patterns in complaints. 2. Ask for a final fixed price in writing that covers all costs. 3. Confirm vehicle type assigned and ensure it is empty before loading to optimise space and avoid “extra load” charges. 4. Ask for internal vehicle dimensions and trolley measurements if charged by trolley basis. E.g 14FT lorry can accomandate how many trolleys? This can also help you better plan with the amount of stuff to be loaded for the move based on the agreed load unless you are already willing to pay for more loads from the start. This way, you have a more accurate and comfortable final price you will expect to pay. 5. Clarify what counts as a long pushing distance to avoid surprise fees. Define specific distance. 6. Where possible, observe the loading process to ensure fair use of space and materials. My own final cost was $880, compared to the initial $350 estimated quotation. A very expensive lesson to learn. Be wise and fully informed before committing to avoid unnecessary stress and unexpected costs. A warning to all, be mindful.

12Move Logistics did a good job! The sale person, Matthew is very responsive and patient with our enquiries. On our moving day, at first, there were some delays due to the vehicle breakdown.
