Hiring 12Move was the worst experience of my life. I saw the advertisements of 12MOVE on Insta.The service men who attended to our movements were the worst kind of people, they were very very disinterested in their work, they threatened my husband that they will not move the items until the payments are made.The advertisement showed that they have a fork lift fitted on their vehicles. No, the vehicle sent to us did not have any fork lift. Now coming back to the experiences with 12Move, We are 2 Adults above 50 years and had to move homes, our old house is 300 meters away from the next house we were moving to, we had to hire a packer and mover to move our house items. And hence we called 12Move and the phone was received by Darren, spoke to him and he agreed for a site visit, post the site visit he immediately told us that the items will be moved in by 1 full load and one 1/2 load. We were agreeable to this, and the date of movement was set as 1st July 2024. Darren had told us that they will send 4 workers who will help us in packing and moving and they will come by 9 am as that's the time set by the managements of the condominiums. On July 1st 2024 only 2 young boys come in only at 9.45 am, and that too after calling 2 times. They come in and start walking all around the house some 4 to 5 times, they fumble and talk amongst themselves and call Darren and tell him that the items at home will go in 3 loads and not in 1 and 1/2 loads as agreed upon. Darren has not come and he is trying to solve remotely. We agreed to 3 loads, the boys start packing very very slowly. All the loose items were already packed and sealed in the cartoon boxes provided by D12, the boys very very hesitantly started to pack, the time was already 10.30 am, by 11.30 they packed a few items and around 11.45 started to move the items to the vehicle which did not have any fork lifter, they had to do it manually. When I went and checked the vehicle, there were already some items belonging to the mover almost 15% of the vehicle. So our items can be kept only in the remaining part. One of the boy told me that I should not stand near the vehicle and look at him working as he has anxiety issues, so I moved out from there. With lot of hesitancy the vehicle was loaded, and by this time the boys have taken 2 cigarette breaks. The 1st load arrives at the destination house at around 12.30am and its only at a distance of 300 mts. By around 1 pm, the 1st load of items have started on come up, and suddenly theres a lift problems, so no movements can happen, the management is informed of the same. My husband was around the lift to check if the service people have come in, thats when he noticed a piece of wood, removed it and the thankfully the lift started to work. Finally around 4.40 the boys had moved the 2nd load of items, before moving the items from the parking bay, they took my husband to a ransom, they said unless you pay us the full money now we will not move your items to your destination. My husband had no choice but to pay, I have to mention that they had not picked any items that was bulky like the washing machine, big cabinets etc and any delicate item like the TV. Around3.30pm I get a call from Darren checking with me not the service of the 2 most disinterested boys at work but if i wanted to take their storage facilities. Seeing the boys doing their work so slowly and deliberately trying to delay the process, I decided to call Lalamove to help move my rest of the items. Seeing this the boys literally threaten me that Lalamove cannot touch the cartoon boxes of12Move.At my old house the new LL had already called the ID people for hacking and renovation works to start and they started their work around 3 pm and my items have not yet moved out of the house.Never hire 12Move for any services, your staff actually made us miserable by coming in late and 4 workers were supposed to come and only 2 of them show up with a major attitude problem. Answer me about the ransom situation of refusing to deliver the items ifpayment not made on the spot.
