I chose KNT to help with the moving of some boxes after reading the good reviews about their reliability but I’m not sure I can recommend them to others after my first experience with them. I scheduled a date and time with their admin for the move two weeks before my chosen date via WhatsApp. I paid their quoted price in full with no discounts/promotions whatsoever. Pros: - Easy to schedule and arrange via WhatsApp - They promptly delivered the flattened boxes on my requested date (after receiving the deposit). - The movers worked quickly on the date of the move. Cons: - The admin kept spelling my name wrongly, even though I had sent in an online enquiry with the correct spelling of my name. - In response to my enquiry, the admin staff initially proposed a moving time of 1pm on my chosen moving day, to which I agreed to and paid the deposit. The next day, they sent me a text, informing me that my moving time has been moved to 2pm. No, it was not posed as a question, it was a statement that I was expected to accept, which I did. Fast forward to two weeks later, on the day of the move, I received a message at 8:45am, asking if the movers can arrive earlier at 12pm. I only read it at 11am and replied that my earliest availability was at 1pm. I didn’t think the admin would go ahead and change my moving time (for a third time!) at such late notice, without my approval but they did and the movers showed up at 11:30am, claiming they have to do the move now because they have another job at 2pm, and can’t come back to move my things later. This baffled me because my move was scheduled at 2pm and suddenly, that slot belongs to someone else now. I didn’t argue with the movers because they weren’t the ones who scheduled my move. I asked them to come back in 30 minutes so I have some time to quickly rush and finish the last minute packing. I still was in disbelief when I was riding in the truck with the movers and tried to seek some clarification regarding this last minute time change. One of them showed me the slip of paper with my details (including my misspelt name) that had 2pm printed on it but it was scrawled out with a blue pen with 12pm written above it. He said he wasn’t aware that the company had changed my time without obtaining my confirmation before doing so. If I need anything moved again, I doubt I will be returning to them because I can’t imagine going through the stress of having my moving time changed without my permission. Moving is already a stressful event and KNT made it even more stressful for me. Unless your schedule is very flexible and you’re willing to tolerate the constant, last minute changes to your moving time, please think twice.
