My second experience with Shalom. A bunch of Excellent movers, with a high standard of professionalism. They do take care of heavy and bulky furnitures very well. Transportation of furnitures were well-handled with proper wrapping. Only down side was 10% of recycled boxes provided by the company was abit old to be reused.

BE WARNED - I choose to ignore some of the negative reviews thinking it will never happen to me. Shalom moved my family home from a condo to house. It took me a few days to realize that my tennis ball machine is missing. It has miraculously disappeared!! They claim everything has been delivered. What exactly about this supposedly professional operation that allows such a big item to simply DISAPPEAR? This item is so big, what do the movers do to make it simply disappear. As a gesture of good will, Shalom is generously agreed to give me $100, the machine cost at least $1300. BE WARNED. So outrageous!

We engaged Shalom last November twice - one to move to from location A to B, then again from B to A after renovation of our house. I am pretty impressed by the services, especially the first move whose leader was witty, experienced and very helpful. Each team member knew what he had to do. Everything was very organised. The first move was so good that we hoped his team could assist us for the second move. The second move was under another team who was equally efficient and professional. I am also quite impressed with the company's generosity with the materials needed to wrap fragile items e.g. bubble wrap, paper sheets etc. However, more could be done for the welfare of the movers. The second move was understaffed - at one point in time, there were only 2 to 3 guys moving the boxes out from the house to the lorry. There was just 1 guy moving all heavy boxes. Thankfully, more men joined the unloading of the boxes at the final location. Furthermore, there was insufficient small boxes - only around 10 for the whole family. We had many books/papers/heavy items and it was definitely insufficient to space out the weight by using small boxes to hold all heavy items. I understand that we could request more from the company but there would be additional cost incurred. Since moving is physically tedious, I am really paiseh to witness the men struggling with the heavy boxes. We also ended up sourcing our own boxes, both big and small. I think the company could have provided us with more boxes to begin with, given that there were 5 of us and our apartment is considered big (executive HDB).

Don't use their warehouse service. Never and Ever. I was looking for a mover providing storage service together when I had to leave Singapore temporarily due to family reason and chose Shalom, which was my biggest mistake in my life. When I came back to Singapore, I had to throw away most of my stuff redelivered because they were wet and came with mold inside boxes. Found out there were water leakage from the ceiling of the warehouse for a while, and they just changed the boxes only and filled with wet items right before the redelivery day. I would not be able to recognize unless I didn't put my personal labels in each box when I had packed. All handbags, wallets, shoes, bags, cloths, bedsheets, small electronics, books, and etc, were wet and totally damaged. Over $6,000 value of items were thrown away so far, and they offered $100 to make up the loss. The stuffs are something I can buy again in the future, but personal items such as photo albums, diary, notes - the record of my memory - they are gone. Just don't use Shalom storage service unless you can buy an insurance protecting your memory.
