Was recommended by a friend to contact shalom as I needed to move into a new place with various pick up points. Scheduled for a site visit and got my quotation promptly within the day. They were very transparent in informing of all the additional cost that I may incur due to my various pick up points and other misc during move on that day.
Thank you Shalom. The move is pretty smooth except for a few bumps.

This company does not even deserve a single star because there are no stars to show a negative rating.
I live in a small downtown condo roughly comprising 50% resident-owners and 50%tenants so there are always people moving in and/or out. This is THE company to use if you want all your new neighbours to hate you or if you hate the neighbours and want to leave them a nasty going-away "present."
Of the many moving companies that have done jobs in this condo, this company is outstanding for the most number of incidents like parking their vehicles defying basic highway code and common sense, having their moving materials (including your furniture and belongings!) strewn all over the main driveway of the condo unattended, workers who do as they please because the supervisor in charge of the move is not on-site doing their job, keeping security doors jammed open resulting in expensive repairs. Basically their moving crews work according to what is convenient to them even if it means disregarding any rules, government or condo!
For a company that is one of the more expensive movers, it is frightful how they operate. It is difficult to find their personnel in charge of the move on-site or at the office; I have tried during the times that they have made it impossible for the rest of the condo residents to get on with their daily lives. I have complained to their staff on-site and in the office via telephone to no avail; they still engage in the same inconsiderate practices almost every time they have a job in this condo. Their blatant disregard of problems they cause merited this review. Even the most fly-by-night tiny moving companies that have done jobs here have been more professional in their practices than Shalom. How ironic that the company name means "peace" when they leave anything but that in their wake!

Over priced. Charged $280 for moving a hospital bed. When arrived, need to pay another $200 to carry up the stairs!! I might as well buy a new one?!! It is no longer the reliable and reputable Shalom mover we once knew...

Thanks for the response below. You have explained why the the line-by-line charges were justified. At the transactional level, you are factually correct. However, I'm talking about empathizing with a REPEAT customer here. It was only after much bargaining that your office staff agreed to reduce the pricing. Either you do not have a good CRM to track your past customers or your office team do not really care and chose to just focus on maximising profits. Your front-line moving staff are good and helpful; the HQ team needs to apply some heart for the customer. Mr. Gideon and Gabriel - I hope you are able to read this feedback for the company's improvement.
